Hi! I’m Rocco Rinaldi-Rose. I am a trans woman and licensed therapist working remotely in Brooklyn, New York City. I am Jewish, identify as neurodivergent, and am familiar with poly, kinky, sex working, drug using, and Mad communities. I am open to working with individuals and couples.
I have years of experience working with queer adults and adolescents therapeutically and in social support roles: I was a group leader at the LGBT Center for trans youth, and have worked in Rikers Island providing mental health support for the women’s jail, as well as led hospital trainings regarding appropriate trans care and engaged in outreach around New York’s sex work and trans exclusion laws.
Therapeutically, I am attuned to the body and to what is unsaid or unthought; I work psychodynamically, believe in the power of speech and listening, and pay attention to fantasies and histories. Skilled supervision is important to me to make sure I am providing you the best possible care. I graduated from Amherst College for undergrad and Silberman School of Social Work for graduate school, focusing on therapeutic care for queer and trans autistic adults and sex workers.
As a visual artist, writer, and performer, I understand the way that symptoms manifest in the body as blockages and fixations, and believe in creativity, an open stance.
I am out of network for insurance but am willing to work with you on cost: my fee is $180 with sliding scale slots down to $80 available as needed. Please fill out the form below or email me in order to get in touch and schedule a free 15 minute consultation call.
